山谷のイマを紹介するウェブマガジンー山谷NOW

2013年、山谷の街に来て７年ばかし経ってしまった。思った以上に長居してしまっている。何も知らずしてこの街に来て、帳場さんになった。期せずして起こったことも今思えば、私に与えられた役割だったのかもしれない。その間、私自身、いくつかの書籍に文を書いたり、写真集も二冊出版した。また、過去に書かれた山谷に関する書籍や映像などに多く触れて来た。ただ、そこにあるのは、ドヤ街としての、貧困や、差別、虐げられた負の情報しか得られないことも少なくはない。

確かに、この街が直面している問題にそくして書けば自然とそうなるのかもしれないが、私は写真を通して現状を伝えている以上、伝えるものとして、もう少し違った視点から、今のこの街を、そのまま素直に書いてみようと思ったのである。情報というものは常にアップデートされなくてはならない。

In 2013, about 7 year has passed since I came to this town "Sanya"; is or wsa a flop house area in Tokyo. More than I considered, I have stayed for a long time. Not knowing of nothing of this town at the first time, and I came to this town, and became a registration of a cheap hotel.
When also considering having happened unexpectedly now, possibly it was the role given to me. I wrote some essays by myself to some books and magazines in the meantime, and two photograph books were also published. Moreover, it has touched on books, an image, etc. about Sanya written in the past mostly.

However, that it is there does not have few that only the poverty and the negative information discriminated and oppressed as a flophouse area are acquired, either.
Indeed, I know it may be natural to write so if based on many problems that this town is being faces, but since I have showes the present condition through the photographs, I came to think that I want to write this present town obediently as it is from the viewpoint different to a slight degree as what is told.

Information must always be updated.
